2.2.2 Enclose mode

Enclose mode is a specialized object selection mode. In this mode you can

• Drag an enclosure rectangle to select those objects that are enclosed by the rectangle
• Drag an enclosure rectangle with the shift key to add those objects to the selection that are enclosed by the rectangle
• Drag an enclosure rectangle with the command key to remove those objects from the selection that are enclosed by the rectangle
• Click on an object to select it
• Click on an object with the shift key to add it to the selection
• Click on an object with the command key to remove it from the selection
• Click on a selected object to select instead the object that is at the same point behind it
• Click on a selected object with the shift key to add to the selection the object that is at the same point behind it
• Click on a deselected object with the command key to remove from the selection the deselected object that is at the same point behind it
• Click in empty space to deselect all objects
• Hold down the option key to use Drag-scroll mode
• Press the space bar to switch to Drag-scroll mode.
