kCADEventPhaseBefore

Choosing Clear in the Edit menu or pressing the delete or backspace key, triggers a kCADEventPhaseBefore phase of the kCADEventIDEditClear event. The action can be intercepted or applied to a modified scope of objects.

An kCADEventPhaseAfter phase is generated when the kCADEventPhaseBefore phase passed and the action has taken place. You can control a successive undo (but not its scope of objects).
